Who We Are

The Idaho Conservation League is Idaho’s leading voice for conservation.

With 19 staff in 3 offices across the state, we are proud to live in and around one of the most beautiful western landscapes.

Our work includes protecting our wilderness and public lands. To do so, we monitor mining and logging, motorized recreation management, wildlife protection and more. We encourage people to enjoy "wild Idaho"—those who know it, love and protect it.

We also work to protect our homes and communities. Are our air and water clean and safe? Are our government policies encouraging serving the health and lives of our families? Is energy being conserved, renewable sources prioritized and waste eliminated?

How We Work

The issues we work on are as diverse as Idaho, but how we work is important, too. We provide leadership, make a difference and build our skills and capacity to help Idaho in the future.

To build a bipartisan conservation majority that is empowered to protect Idaho, we collaborate with others when possible and are strong advocates when needed. For all Idahoans and thousands of our members, we serve as their voice at the Idaho Legislature, in the halls of Congress, and to all levels of government.

As a nonprofit, we are well run, our conservation strategies well considered, and our successes important to defining what Idaho is today and what we hope it will be tomorrow when we pass the Idaho legacy on to our children.
