BWC Hearing This Wednesday

Posted by Rick Johnson at Jun 11, 2010 02:35 PM |

The U.S. Senate will hold a committee hearing on the Boulder-White Clouds bill June 16. I'll provide testimony in Washington, DC.

It looks like I'm getting back on an airplane.

The U.S. Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee is holding a hearing on the Boulder-White Clouds the afternoon of Wednesday, June 16, 2010.

I've been invited to provide testimony so will fly there Tuesday. I'm the sole citizen witness invited in support of the bill.

I've not seen a list of other witnesses, but I believe the opposing witness will be from the motorized recreation community. Also expected to appear is Rep. Mike Simpson and Sen. Mike Crapo.  Sen. Jim Risch, as a committee member, will be in the big chairs hearing our testimony. I've also just learned that Gov. Butch Otter is sending a representative.

Given my experience, I expect Sen. Crapo to be invited to join committee members after he provides testimony.

I'll get a brief five minutes to provide my testimony, and it really goes fast. Our panel will then be open to questions.

I'll try to post a blog soon after.
