Great Idaho-Nevada SWIP Trip

Check out this gonzo long-distance hike from Idaho to southern Nevada along the proposed route of the SWIP powerline.

Great Idaho-Nevada SWIP Trip

Thru-hiker Adam Bradley

Our colleagues at the Nevada Wilderness Project have been tirelessly working to get their heads around the plethora of powerlines and other energy-development projects planned for their state.

In a particular stroke of smarts, they came up with the SWIP Trip. Here is their blog about the long-distance hike by Adam Bradley. Adam is a record-holding distance hiker who's traveling the whole of the SWIP route on foot from above Idaho's Twin Falls down toward the pointy bottom of Nevada.

Along the way, the NWP team is meeting with folks and blogging like crazy about renewable energy. Check it out! It's fun, interesting...and important.
