May in Motion
The ICL staff gears up for the annual May in Motion competition.
Spring is finally here, and once again our Boise staff are participating in May in Motion (MIM). Every May, the Ada County Highway District (ACHD) hosts this event to promote alternative transportation in the workplace. Some of the Treasure Valley's largest employers like Micron and smaller organizations like the Idaho Conservation League are enhancing our community by improving our commuting habits. ICL participates every year and always brings home the top prize!
For May in Motion, we're counting bus rides, carpool trips, bicycle commutes and walkin' shoe miles for a friendly in-house competition. Prizes will go to staffers who log the most car-free trips, with a special prize going to the ICL staffer with the most unique commute!
According to Nicole Stern, ACHD-Commuteride, this year's May in Motion is projected to save 65,000 trips, with 71 businesses participating. As more people learn about their options, more people use them throughout the year.
Look for green tips throughout May as we feature different options available to Idaho commuters. Learn more about May in Motion and get involved!
