No Skiing? What to Do?

Parts of Idaho are still without snow. If you are running dry on winter activities, we've got ideas for you!

No Skiing? What to Do?

Visit an Idaho hot spring this winter!

All over Idaho but particularly here in Treasure Valley, the lack of snow has made some of us stir crazy.  The good news is that winter hikes are a great way to get out and the lack of snow makes hiking possible!

What else? How about a drive to local hot springs like Gold Fork Hot Springs near Donnelly? Or, if you are up for a short hike, Pine Flat hot springs near Lowman is a fun spot. You can view a statewide list of natural hot springs to find one in your area.

Crazy bike riders, like me, can bundle up and cruise the Boise Greenbelt and ride along the Boise River. Another option is a short mountain bike on some of the Ridge to River trails. Winter trail conditions can change from frozen to mud conditions, so remember, if you encounter mud on "your wheels or your heels," turn around.

Enjoy the bluebird days of winter and if you dress warmly, you can do many of the same walks and hikes that you do in the spring and fall!
