Idaho Families for Clean Water would like to invite you to get an update on the mineral exploration at the nearby CuMo site over a fried-chicken lunch in Centerville.
Our family-friendly get-together will feature a presentation by wildlife biologist Leon Powers, author ofThe Forgotten Expedition, a first-ever account of the 1907 Baker University Biological Expedition that passed through Centerville.
In addition, you will have the chance to learn about Mosquito Consolidated Gold's CuMo mineral exploration and proposed mining on Grimes Creek. You will also get to visit part of Grimes Creek being restored by Trout Unlimited and others. We'll pitch in by watering trees that were planted this spring and see the wonderful effects of The Mores Creek Watershed Restoration Project, which reclaims abandoned mine sites and reestablishes fish and wildlife habitat.
