Tomorrow morning—Tuesday, November 15, at 9 am in Boise— the Oil and Gas Conservation Commission hears Idaho's proposed drilling and fracking rule. The Commission is also expected to take public comments.
This is a unique opportunity for all of us to speak directly to Gov. Butch Otter and the other elected officials on the Commission. Share your concerns about fracking in Idaho.
- Tell the Commission to ban the use of cancer-causing chemicals in fracking fluid. Such chemicals were just found in groundwater in Wyoming. Idaho's drinking water is too important to be placed at risk.
- Tell the Commission that the $150 "blanket bonding" is insufficient to cover the costs of plugging and closing an abandoned well.
Join us at the meeting: Borah Building, Room 214, 304 N 8th St, Boise. See you there!
