One of Idaho's most iconic wildlife species, bighorn sheep have also become one of the most controversial ones—targeted by both state and national policies.
On Wed, Feb 1, join us at the MK Nature Center to learn more about bighorn sheep and their role in the state of Idaho.
Curt Mack, wildlife biologist for the Nez Perce Tribe, will talk about bighorn sheep history, biology, cultural significance and current research efforts. Then John Robison with the Idaho Conservation League will discuss the current political maelstrom of conflicts between bighorn sheep and domestic sheep management.
We look forward to seeing you there!
