If you’re like us, you’re already going out and enjoying our beautiful public lands on your days off. So why not use that time to serve as a wilderness steward and help take care of the Hemingway-Boulders, Jim McClure-Jerry Peak and White Clouds Wildernesses, as well as in the Sawtooth Wilderness.
You can enjoy your favorite outdoor setting with friends and family while you make a difference for the wild places you love. Anybody who is committed to volunteering time to restoring, protecting and enhancing our wilderness can apply to be a wilderness steward. If you prefer a group effort, designated wilderness stewards can involve friends or family members in important conservation work too.
If you are interested in becoming a wilderness steward, attend our information session at our Ketchum office. You’ll learn what the stewards do, what training is provided, and who else values the wilderness like you do.
