Galena Gulch
This trail leads you to a saddle that is prime habitat for mountain goats and other wild game.

You begin your hike at a trail sign near a swampy area. The trail is moderately steep at first but becomes steeper as you climb up the ridge. At 4 miles, you reach your destination, at an elevation of 9,600 ft. Take time to enjoy the views of Galena Summit and Galena Peak—maybe even have a picnic—before you begin your descent.
Directions
On Highway 75, drive north from Ketchum for 36 miles. Turn right at the sign for Pole Creek Road. At the first fork about 2.5 miles from the highway, stay right. Continue driving for 13 miles and ford Germania Creek. Turn right immediately after the creek and park in the grassy area.
