Table Rock is one of the easiest hikes to get to in the Boise area, and one of the most scenic. A hike or bike ride up to the top of this rock outcropping provides views of the entire city, Owyhee County, and into Oregon. Despite its steep ascent, Table Rock is a popular day hike for families and those wishing to take in the beautiful sights and sounds of the Boise Foothills.
Directions: From Broadway Ave. turn east on Warm Springs Ave. and go about 2 miles. Turn off on Old Penitentiary Rd.; there will be signs for the Botanical Gardens. When the road forks, go left and follow to large dirt parking lot. This is the trailhead. There are several trails taking off from this trailhead, most of which lead to the top of Table Rock.
