Why Go on an Adventure with ICL?

At ICL, we understand one simple, universal truth about getting outdoors: People who play in wilderness, care about wilderness. By visiting Idaho's unique landscapes and wild, remote places, we develop lifelong relationships with the land itself.

As Idaho's leading voice for conservation, it has always been our goal to help our members get out and enjoy what's worth protecting.

Our adventure series are a great way to learn more about our state, meet new people and get some fresh air. If you're new to town, interested in learning about outings near you, or just hoping to find conservation-minded friends who like to get outside, come adventure with us!

This summer, we have a great adventure season for both members and non-members. We offer hikes and other adventures from our North, Central, and South Idaho offices. So come join us, meet some new people and/or put some miles on those boots!

Also, be sure to take your camera on every ICL adventure and send us your best shots. In the fall, we'll throw a party to share our stories, reunite with friends we met along the trail, and watch a slideshow together.

Make sure to register for our adventures and prepare for the outdoors.

Our Heritage of Special Places Could Disappear

That's right. In today's world, westerners periodically decry federal control of our public lands. They forget that those lands belong to all Americans—not just Idahoans and not just those who would like to sell them off to the highest bidder. Let your delegation know that public lands should remain in public hands!
