It's time to make plastic water bottles a thing of the past.

A movement called Ban the Bottle is catching on. Don't worry—you don't have to put down your beer and wine. This ban is on purchasing water in plastic water bottles.

Did you know...

  • It takes oil to make plastic water bottles?
  • Almost 40 million water bottles end up in landfills across America each year?

Water bottles can be recycled, but in many rural Idaho communities, where curbside recycling is not offered, these bottles end up in landfills. In 2009, North Carolina stopped allowing water bottles in their landfills.

Take up your stainless steel water container and carry it as diligently as you carry your cell phone. Make plastic water bottles a thing of the past!
