The Golden Three

— filed under:

Green cleaning is as easy as one, two, three!

Last year, Greener Cleaner's Jenn Siegel and ICL teamed up for a workshop on green cleaning at the 2010 Idaho Green Expo.

It was a great session with lots of questions.

The take home message from Jenn? Always remember your golden three—vinegar, baking soda and lemons.

Vinegar can be used as a multipurpose cleaner. White vinegar is not too stinky and great for cleaning counter tops, windows or other surfaces.

Baking soda or washing soda are great options for when you need to scrub. Mixed with vinegar, you can get a highly effective paste to attach bathroom tiles.

Lemon juice is a great alternative to bleach, and it has a very nice scent.
