Breathe Easier at Work
Improve air quality within your work place; it will make you feel better.
Poor indoor air quality isn't something we normally think about when typing away at our desks. But the carpet, furniture, copy machine and cleaning products can all contribute to poor air quality in your workplace.
Common office furniture can be responsible for air pollutants like volatile organic chemicals (VOCs) and formaldehyde.
EPA has some guidance to educate you about indoor air pollution. It good to be informed about the space in which you spend at least 8 hours a day.
ICL works to make sure Idahoans have clean air to breath everyday—protecting Idahoans from greenhouse gas pollution and mercury emissions from gold mines. As we work to make sure there is clean air outside, you can make sure you have clean air on the inside.
- Choose cleaning products that are nontoxic.
- Open your windows to allow for ventilation.
- Avoid air fresheners—use real flowers!
- Use low or no VOC paint when remodeling.
