A new local business works to be a part of the solution by reducing commercial use of plastic water bottles.
Right here in Idaho, in the city of Star, a new company has emerged to offer another option for businesses that are interested in sustainability.
This Idaho start-up company, Vyykn, is operating with a global consciousness. Realizing that it takes oil to make plastic water bottles and that they usually end up in a landfill, the company is looking for solutions. Vyykn creates water purification systems for smaller water providers—gyms, schools, hospitals, airports and others. The company hopes that consumers will fill their personal water bottles at Vyykn filter systems as an alternative to purchasing bottled water.
Here's a good challenge—view your personal water container as an everyday item, like your cell phone or keys. When you get ready for work in the morning, remember your water container and ban the bottle!
