Hiking this summer? Bring your American Selkirks map!

Hiking through the Long Canyon Loop

Going hiking? Be sure to get a copy the American Selkirks hiking map, courtesy of your friends at the Idaho Conservation League.

This beautiful full-color topo map includes more than a hundred miles of hiking trails in the Idaho portion of the Selkirk Mountains, from the Canadian border on the north to Bonner County on the south. The map features a "baker's dozen" of selected hikes with descriptions and directions.
The map also includes information about the flora and fauna of this incredible landscape, conservation history, "Leave No Trace" principles and a list of helpful resources.

Carrying a map with you while you hike is a great way to stay connected with the trail, learn the landscape, and explore places and trails you might have passed up!

For now, you can find the maps at the Chamber of Commerce visitors centers in Bonners Ferry and Sandpoint, and Outdoor Experience and the Alpine Shop in Sandpoint.

Or you can request one directly from us, and we'll mail it to you!

Don't forget your hiking basics for a fun and safe hike!

Happy trails!
