Boise Brew Pub Hits New York Times
For all the right reasons--including sustainability--Dave Krick's Bittercreek Alehouse is written up in the Green Inc. section of the New York Times...worm bin and all.
Seeing the worm bin is when it became most obvious I wasn't talking to an average sustainability advocate. I have worms eating my garbage at home, so I wanted to see the rumored bin below the brewpub. I wasn't prepared to see a worm bin the size of my office.
Dave Krick's low-key demeanor hides the fact that he's making huge strides in showing what we all can do to advance sustainable practices to protect the environment...and save money. Boise's Bittercreek Alehouse, Krick's business, has steadily raised the bar with commonsense conservation measures that customers can relate to.
So it was great to see the New York Times report on Dave's work—worm bin and all—in today's Green Inc. posting. I encourage you to read the story and check out Green Inc often. It's a good way to see a slice of environmental news you might not see elsewhere.
