Snowshoeing at Bogus Basin

Breath crisp mountain air while snowshoeing among the pines on the Bogus Basin nordic trails and enjoying great views of the valley.

The group will meet at the Bogus Basin Nordic Center (at the far west end of the overflow parking lot) at 10:00am sharp and will be back at the lodge by 11:30.

  • Level of difficulty: Moderate to strenuous, will be on steep terrain.
  • Distance: Depends on the pace of the group, but the hike will be about 1.5 hours round trip.
  • Equipment needed: Snowshoes, snow boots, poles, gloves, ski goggles, layers of clothing (thermals, fleece, snowpants or waterproof pants), gloves, hat, scarf, extra socks, water, snacks, and lunch to eat at lodge (optional).

There is a $5 trail fee per person , which can be paid at the Bogus Basin Nordic Center or Bogus Basin office (unless you have a Bogus Basin season pass).

You can rent snowshoe equipment at the Bogus Basin Nordic Center for $10 for the day, or at REI, Sports Authority, Greenwood's, or McU Sports.
