Climate Change

Idaho Conservation League works on energy and wildfires to reduce the impacts of climate change and increasing greenhouse gases.

The scientific jury’s in – we know that global warming is happening.

But we also have the knowledge and technology to reverse the trend.  We can take action now – individually and collectively!

We can slow down global warming by reducing our dependence on oil and coal, through energy efficiency and supporting clean energy sources like wind and solar power.

What ICL is doing

ICL is helping to curb greenhouse gases by:
•    Advocating for better energy options in Idaho
•    Promoting transportation alternatives
•    Changing the way we manage fire

We are also supporting federal legislation that will cap greenhouse gases. Learn more about state and federal policies that will make a difference!

In Sandpoint we recently sponsored a Day of Climate Action, when people in Idaho joined the world community in calling for aggressive action to lower our atmospheric CO2 concentrations to a healthy level: 350 ppm.
