Healthy Food
What you can do to support healthy food in Idaho!
We all want food that tastes good, treads lightly on the environment, and supports local farmers - otherwise known as sustainable agriculture. At ICL, our goal is to promote sustainable agriculture while eliminating harmful factory farms.
Now is the time to look for great local produce!
Fresh, healthy, local food travels a much shorter distance from the farm to your table. This cuts down on transportation-related pollution and packaging. Buying local supports our local economy, preserves local agricultural land, and protects the health of our environment.
A recent study conducted in south western Idaho found that by simply purchasing 15% of food from local growers - $165 million goes back into the local economy.
