Increasing Road Safety for Nonmotorists

SB 1348

RULES OF THE ROAD - BICYCLES—Provides increased safety for bicyclists and pedestrians.

Support
Held
Responding to the recent deaths of bicyclists in Idaho, this bill requires a vehicle to give a 3-foot buffer to bicyclist, pedestrians or other human-powered vehicles such as wheelchairs. It also requires that nonmotorized users move to the side of the road, enabling vehicles to pass. This bill will help keep roads safe for all users.
