Biking and Walking

Biking and walking paths.

The future of our transportation system is at a crossroads. We shouldn’t have to choose between fixing the roads we already have and investing in good transportation options that will pay off now and in the future. Bikeways, pedestrian walkways and public transit make our communities better places to live, work and raise a family.

Corridors like the North Idaho Centennial Trail, the historic Oregon Trail, the Boise River Greenbelt, the proposed Pend d'Oreille Bay Trail, and pedestrian underpasses provide access to natural areas, help take cars off clogged roads and make our daily commutes safer, smoother and healthier.

The Idaho Conservation League is working with Idaho communities and at the state legislature to make sure you have transportation choices, such as biking and walking paths, in your community.
