Truth is Power

ICL is standing together with Tribes in asking for nothing less than a true pathway to abundance for Snake River salmon and steelhead.

Will Northwest leaders take action or fail our salmon and communities once again?

Will lawmakers do more than offer platitudes and yet to be determined future processes that cause further delay?

Happy New Year!

Already, we have much to be thankful and hopeful about for 2021.

ICL Statement on George Floyd from Executive Director Justin Hayes

Through our work we will seek to create a society for all people — where the right to freedom, liberty and justice is assured and where all people are treated with dignity

Let’s work together for a better Idaho future: abundant salmon, affordable energy, and prosperous farms

By recognizing our diverse interests and working together, we can bring back Idaho’s fish and support communities — ensuring a brighter future for all the people of Idaho and the region. I hope you’ll join us.

An update on ICL and its response to COVID-19

ICL recognizes the pain that fellow Idahoans are feeling right now and I encourage all of us to find constructive ways to help our neighbors, friends, families and communities respond to this pandemic.

ICL is taking steps to protect staff and community in response to COVID-19

In light of growing concerns over COVID-19, ICL has implemented measures for staff to keep ourselves and our community safe. The safety of our staff, members, family and our community is our number one priority.

ICL Appoints Justin Hayes as New Executive Director

Our state has big challenges ahead — saving our salmon and steelhead from extinction, addressing the causes and impacts of climate change, protecting our public lands and cleaning up polluted rivers.

Work Hard – And Laugh

To be clear, there’s not a thing about today’s environmental news that’s funny to me…. But I am all in for humor right now.

The Next Chapter

In June 2019 I will step down as the Idaho Conservation League executive director. We’ve done many good things together, because it’s been a group effort all along. You have had my back for decades. I am very grateful to you.
