The Idaho Conservation League thanks Gov. Brad Little for proclaiming May 2 Public Lands Day in Idaho. Gov. Little recognizes the value of public lands not just for their beauty, natural resources and contribution to the state’s economy, but also for their enhancement of every Idahoan’s health and quality of life.

As the governor proclaimed, “(T)he health of our public lands provides Idaho with abundant clean air and clean water, and public lands are inextricable from the health, vitality, and resiliency of our people and communities. . . our successes in Idaho are directly linked to our ability to responsibly manage and protect the special places that make Idaho unique.”

At ICL, we work hard and smart to protect the air you breathe, water you drink, fish and wildlife, and the wild places you and your family love – to help keep Idaho, Idaho.

Gov. Little’s support of public lands is a wonderful thing, but it doesn’t mean our work – or yours – is over. Here’s what you can do:

  • Thank Gov. Little for his appreciation and support of Idaho’s public lands and collaborative solutions for their management.
  • Support ICL by donating (during Idaho Gives, you have until midnight, May 2), becoming a member or volunteering.
  • Sign up for our email updates and we’ll keep you informed about ways you can get involved and help take care of Idaho.
