Volunteer Opportunity: Dear Idaho Climate Video

August 25, 2020 - September 7, 2020

Want to help take action towards combating climate change in Idaho? You have a unique and urgent opportunity to show the Idaho Public Utilities Commission (IPUC) and our Idaho electric utility companies that Idahoans care about climate change and clean energy! Grab your phone and record a few lines from our Dear Idaho letter!

The North Idaho ICL team is creating a multi-platform video called “Dear Idaho” to showcase our clean energy campaign. If you’d like to read more about this topic, you can check out ICL’s energy associate, Ben Otto’s blog. The video will be a composition of people from all over Idaho reading the Dear Idaho letter. The goal is to draw attention to the fact that Idahoans are ready to transition from coal and natural gas to clean, renewable, energy and they want the transition accelerated. Check out our promo video to get a sense of what we are striving for!

We need your help! We need as many people as possible to record themselves reading the letter (even if it is just a line or two!). It’s super easy to participate, just follow these steps:

  1. Request access to our google drive. Once we send you an approval link, you will have access to the Dear Idaho letter, videotaping directions, and video release forms
  2. Follow the recording instructions and film yourself reading the letter. You can be as creative as you would like with this. In fact, the more creativity the better!
  3. Upload your video to the google drive or email it to ehudsonheck@idahoconservation.org
  4. Fill out and send your video release form to the above email address or upload it to the google drive.
  5. Invite your friends, family, co-workers, anyone that may want to participate, everyone is welcome! We encourage participation from adults, kids, grandparents, even pets!

Submit your videos to Ellie by Monday, September 7th
