Idaho is fortunate enough to have spectacular night skies in our rural areas, so much so that an International Dark Sky Reserve was recently designated in Central Idaho.
But what is the impact of night light on wildlife? How can we individually make a difference to protect our dark skies? Join Betsy Mizell from ICL, Kate Markham and Jesse Barber from Boise State University, and Heidi Ware Carlisle from the Intermountain Bird Observatory as they present on the Central Idaho Dark Sky Reserve, the effects of night light and noise on wildlife, and how we can minimize our human impacts.
Drinks and light snacks provided. Please RSVP to Lana so we can estimate amounts.
