Ketchum Science Pub: Transportation

Quench your thirst for knowledge at this month’s Science Pub on transportation! Transportation is Idaho leading source of climate and air pollution. We also import all of our transportation fuels, draining dollars from our economy and raising the risk of disrupted supplies.

Join ICL’ s own energy associate, Ben Otto (aka Captain Kilowatt), and learn how ICL is pursuing news ways for Idahoans to move about our great state while protecting our air and economy. Come learn about: Safe Routes to Schools—a program where communities identify safe routes and the improvements necessary to encourage kids to walk and bike to school— and programs for electric vehicles, like the $17 million dollars Idaho will receive to promote clean trucks and buses.

Based on the Science Cafe model developed in Europe in the 1990s, ICL is pleased to present Science Pub as a fun way to bring educators, scientists, presenters and the public together. Come on out, grab a beer and join in on the informal discussions around scientific topics and environmental issues—like air quality in Idaho. No RSVP or scientific background is required. Just bring your curiosity, sense of humor, and appetite for drinks and knowledge!
