If you’re like us, you’re already getting out to enjoy our beautiful public lands on your days off. So why not use that time to serve as a wilderness steward and help take care of the Owyhee Canyonlands wilderness areas?
The Owyhee Canyonlands feature craggy red rock canyons, endless views, sagebrush and bunchgrass from horizon to horizon. The wilderness stewardship program gives you the chance to enjoy this beautiful outdoor setting while making a difference for the wild places we all love.
Anybody who is committed to volunteering time to restore, protect and enhance our wilderness can be an Owyhee wilderness steward. Working with our partners at the Bureau of Land Management, you can choose from a number of projects — from mending fencelines and installing game markers to monitoring our dark skies.
Join us at our Boise office for an after-work information session. We’ll provide the beer and snacks — and you’ll learn what the stewards do, what training is provided and who else values the wilderness like you do!
