The Owyhees feature craggy red rock canyons and endless views, with sagebrush and bunchgrass from horizon to horizon. The wilderness stewardship project gives you the chance to enjoy this beautiful outdoor setting while making a difference for the wild places we all love. Anybody who is committed to volunteering time to restore, protect and enhance our wilderness can be a wilderness steward.
We are looking for a team of steward volunteers to join us and the BLM to hike the Perjue Canyon Trail (approx 6.1 miles) in the Little Jacks Creek Wilderness to collect leftover fencing materials from previous public lands day projects and hike these materials out of the wilderness to be recycled.
The only skills needed are a positive attitude and a strong willingness to work together with others!
