Join us for a fun and informative evening presentation about water rights and water use, with Marie Callaway Kellner, Idaho Conservation League’s water associate, and Matt Robinson, restaurant manager for the Konditorei Bakery and Café.
Marie will explain why water rights are a big deal, especially in the arid, western U.S. She’ll also explain how people, businesses and communities secure the right to use water, and speak to some of the reasons that water management in the Big Wood River basin is unique among many Idaho communities.
Water has been a big focus over the past year and reducing usage is key to helping free up resources to be allocated to those with water shortage. Matt will talk about how Konditorei Bakery & Café, Sun Valley’s first Certified Green Restaurant, is working hard to reduce its environmental footprint and be a local leader in the sustainability movement.
Learn some simple steps for minimizing water usage in your own home and workplace and help be the solution!
Enjoy locally roasted coffee, house-made pastries, craft beer, specialty wine and delicious menu items throughout the event. No RSVP is required — just come ready to enjoy and learn!
