House Bill 127 would make county comprehensive planning and land use plans optional. HB 127, introduced by Rep. John Green (R-Post Falls) would amend Idaho’s Land Use Planning Act and could result in unmanaged and unrestricted growth outside of city limits, where planning would still be required.
The bill barely cleared the House Local Government Committee and failed in a 30-38 vote in the House.
