Seasonal Engagement & Public Lands Assistant
Sean works in ICL’s McCall office as an Engagement & Public Lands Assistant, where he is kickstarting the inaugural season of ICL’s Wilderness Stewards Program in the West Central Idaho region.
Prior to moving to Idaho, Sean lived in Western North Carolina where the Great Smoky and Blue Ridge Mountains converge. He earned a BFA Degree in Motion Picture & Television Production with a focus in Documentary Filmmaking from Western Carolina University. His desire to merge his passions for visual storytelling, recreation, and forging meaningful connections with people and natural spaces led Sean to earning an AAS in Outdoor Leadership from Southwestern Community College. He then spent several years guiding various expeditions all across the United States, from sea kayaking in Outer Banks, NC and the San Juan Islands, WA to backpacking in the Appalachian Mountains of North Carolina and San Juan Mountains of Colorado. Sean moved to McCall in 2021, where he earned his MNR in Environmental Education & Science Communication from the University of Idaho’s McCall Field Campus. Sean is excited to develop deeper connections with the McCall community and encourage more Idahoans to participate in ICL’s meaningful work.
In his free time, you’ll find Sean doing just about anything outdoors – camping, paddling, biking, rock climbing, snowboarding, and especially trail running. If he’s not outside, he’s likely cooking up something good in the kitchen or enjoying live music.
